Galehead Mountain (4024′) and South Twin (4902′)

Lesson Learned: Attempting to pole-vault a river that would otherwise be impossible to cross is only a good idea if you can actually pole-vault back over it on the way down the mountain.  Failure to realize this will result in excessive pacing, cursing, one extremely unsuccessful leap of faith, one sprained left wrist, and one very wet and cold hiker.
